Nicole was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended LSU College of Art + Design and earned her BFA in Painting with a minor in Photography. She has also studied painting in NYC and California. Currently, Nicole teaches Advanced Placement Art at her alma mater The Dunham School.
Nicole uses art as a narrative to reflect her life. Light, color, and expressive mark making are the tools she uses to depict her hopes, struggles, and dreams. Her current body of work titled “Let there be Light” portrays Nicole’s journey to find the “Light” that is right for her; one that is illuminating, yet peaceful.
