Overview

Cailloux the Movie (2019)

with Filmmaker Q&A

“Cailloux” is a short documentary about Andre Cailloux; a man who was born enslaved and died a hero of the Union Army, while leading his men in battle. His funeral service in New Orleans was performed by a French abolitionist priest, Father Claude Maistre, and was the largest of its kind. The streets were filled for over a mile by those paying their respects for his service and sacrifice.
