The 1990’S was a great time to be a country music artist. Along came a massively talented singer/songwriter named Deana Carter in 1994. Daughter of famed country musician Fred Carter Jr., Deana was a physical therapist working with stroke victims. She found early music industry support from the likes of Willie Nelson and Vince Gill, landing a record deal with Capital Records. Her first album appeared in 1996 and was titled “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” The album caught lightning in a bottle and spawned three #1 singles. Her first, “Strawberry Wine”, became a country music standard after garnering an award for Single of the Year from the Country Music Association (CMA). The album was certified five times Platinum and led to a three-decade career in business. Deana has released seven main albums, along with a couple of greatest hits discs and a live release. She remains a country music staple, playing mostly festivals including the “Rock the Country” tour earlier this year.
