Supporting Students
Inspiration out of the classroom
Manship Theatre works with schools, homeschool programs, and other educational groups to host field trips. We offer a wide variety of programming options including musicals, dramatic plays, ballet and contemporary dance, and STEAM stage productions that go KABOOM!
We already have field trip options available, and we love to hear from you. What type of programming is perfect for your students?

Inspiration to your classroom
Manship Theatre brings professional teaching artists to local schools.
Whether it’s an artist who is touring and performing at Manship Theatre or a local artist with a flexible schedule, we love to work with schools to bring the art to you. Educational outreach programs can include music, theatre, art, dance, and more.

Inclusivity
Capital Area Autism Network and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health partnered with us to provide free sensory bags to our guests. Just request one at the ticket desk. We often program sensory-friendly shows, featuring NO flashing or strobe lights, sudden volume increases, or loud noises. These are also "non-shushing" shows, so audiences are not discouraged from vocalizing or helping to tell the stories as they unfold.
Through our partnership with Louisiana Public Broadcasting, we are able to show PBS Kids films for free - we always opt for the films that provide on-screen ASL whenever possible.
Manship on the Move
Manship on the Move is a mobile arts program, sending artists into local schools, hospitals, community centers, assisted living facilities, and community events.
If you’re interested in learning more about Manship on the Move, or working with us, please fill out the contact form above, and someone will get back to you.
Scholarships and Discounts
We offer scholarships to our summer camps, and discounted show tickets for community organizations such as Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.
If you’re interested in sponsoring a scholarship or covering the cost of tickets for a community group, please contact jlanglois@manshiptheatre.org.
