Two sessions, same camp
In a response to the popularity of this camp, we are offering two sessions of the same one-week camp. Each session will offer the same musical theatre camp experience, both performing Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids.
Registration process: Jan. 29 for members; Feb. 12 for public
Registration opens to Manship Theatre Family level & above Members only on January 29 at 10:00 a.m. Login to your Manship Theatre account to register.

These camps usually sell out, so we suggest registering the day they go on sale. The one-week mini-musical costs $375. There are no registration or supply fees. No refunds will be offered after April 1, 2026. Tickets for the performances will be on sale at a later date. Tickets are $10 each, including fees.
The process, not the product
Our Mini-Musical Production Camps are about the process, not the product. This is perfect for kids who have an interest in experiencing the magic of musical theatre, regardless of experience. The camp is led by a team of professionals in their field, including support from Manship Theatre’s professional production and education teams. Leading the charge for both 101 Dalmatians productions is Director Dana Lux, who heads up the middle and high school visual and performing arts program at LSU Labratory School.
What to expect
This is not a babysitting camp — campers should come ready to rehearse and participate! Students will enjoy learning and practicing lines, songs, choreography, along with engaging theatre games and exercises.
We will have auditions to assign specific roles prior to the start of camp (Date TBA!) and campers are encouraged to be “off-book” (aka have their lines memorized) before camp starts.
By enrolling in this camp, families are committing to full-day attendance each day. Our one-week rehearsal period is short, and every day is essential to the success of the production. Absences disrupt rehearsals and make it difficult for staff and campers to stay on track. Putting on a show is a true team effort, and progress depends on everyone being present!
The final performance in our beautiful 325-seat theatre with professional stage production is a special experience for these young campers. Friends and family are encouraged to attend!
Each day, campers should bring lunch, water, and two snacks.
Everyone should arrive by 9:00 a.m., dressed in comfortable clothes and tennis shoes, prepared for a day of moving and learning!
Camps run from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Carpool drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m. and pickup ends at 3:30 p.m. There is no aftercare.
Auditions for specific roles will be held prior to the camp start date.

About the show
Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids
Based on the classic animated film, Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney's most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. With a high-spirited score and lovable characters, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences.
Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita's former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.
