About the Summer Intensive

Manship Theatre is excited to welcome a team of passionate filmmakers! We will guide participants through the essentials of filmmaking, from the fundamentals of the craft, to the equipment used in creating collaborative projects. By the end of this intensive, each participant will be a filmmaker.

Throughout the week, participants will explore screenwriting, acting, camera work, sound, lighting techniques, and film editing.

To cap off this immersive experience, we roll out the red carpet for a special film festival on Friday, June 26 at 5:00 p.m. The new filmmakers, along with their family and friends, are invited to walk the red carpet and experience their films on the big screen in Manship Theatre.

Registration

Open to Manship Theatre Family Members on January 29, and to the public on February 12. Existing members can login to their Manship Theatre member account to access early registration.

Once you have registered, your email receipt will contain the Camper Registration Form to collect important info such as allergies, contact info, and t-shirt size. Please do not forget to complete this form!

The summer intensive cost is $375, and there are no registration or supply fees. The final film premiere is free admission. No refunds will be offered after April 15, 2026.

What to expect

The Film Production Summer intensive is Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Carpool drop-off begins at 8:30, and pickup ends at 4:30.

All participants will bring a lunch, two snacks, and water each day. Extended care is not offered.

Each participant receives a 2026 Lights, Camera, Action Film Production t-shirt!
